World champions Australia completed a 103-run victory over hosts West Indies in a rain-delayed opening Super Eight match in Antigua.

Brian Lara led the way with 77, but their innnings faltered 219 with 4.3 overs to spare.

Twenty-four hours earlier, Matthew Hayden’s second successive century helped the world champions to a healthy total of 322 before weather intervened, forcing officials to use the reserve day.
