White Ferns coach Gary Stead has named a strong side for the first of three Twenty20 Internationals against England. The match will be played at the County Ground in Chelmsford before the men’s Twenty20 match between Essex and Sussex.

White Ferns coach and selector, Stead, said: “We are excited ahead of the series. The teams are evenly balanced so it should be a good series.
“We are looking forward to playing before the Essex v Sussex men’s Twenty20 match tomorrow in front of a full house.
“The four players who have been playing in England since the ICC World Twenty20 joined us on our arrival and they are all fit and well and have been in good form for their local teams here (Watkins, Ruck, Doolan and Priest).
“We have trained well since we have arrived, the ground is in great condition and the weather has been very hot. The team enjoy this format of the game so we can't wait to get the tour underway.
Erin Bermingham not considered after she split the webbing between her fingers at training.
